Life is about making decision. You can continue to live as you have always been living, and in so doing, resign yourself to a life of unhappiness and mediocrity….. or you can take the high road, so to speak, and step up to your biggest life. Then you being to understand that the world want you to win and it is a place of great abundance, opportunity and majesty. 5 years ago I made a decision to take the high road to greatness, and I am enjoying my journey of life.

The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari

This is one of those book that I read again and again, just like "think and grow rich". It's about Julian Mantle, a high-profile lawyer who collapses in the middle of a trial and decides to find the purpose of life by traveling to the Himalayas where he meets a group of sages who impart their wisdom to him via a fable.

The fable starts in a magnificent garden with a lighthouse in the middle of the grounds. Out of the lighthouse walks a Sumo wrestler who is naked except for a pink wire cable covering his privates. He slips and falls on a stopwatch that’s been lying on the floor and loses consciousness. However, the wrestler wakes up to the fresh fragrance of yellow roses coming from a distance. He looks over and then discovers that there is a diamond-studded pathway which he takes.

Life is like a river with two banks. On one bank we find happiness and the other bank we find sorrow. As life move along the river, we will constantly inevitably brush up against both banks. The real trick is not to stay stuck on either one too long. Stay always on the happiness bank prevent you to keep improving, one might become too complacent of striving more. Stay always on the sorrow bank keep you stuck in the past, you don’t see the world as you are, you see the world as you want.

The only people without problems and adversity are 6 feet under the ground. To live is to face problems and the courage to conquer fear. These things are vehicles for growth, expansion and life-long learning. Life’s is a game of opportunities to collect wisdom.

We are not on this earth by chance. We are here for a purpose and that is to grow into a man and woman of great impact, to live an extraordinary life, but not to be just another soul pass by the earth.

Def Leppard's music is a mixture of hard rock, album-oriented rock , and heavy metal elements, with its multi-layered, harmonic vocals and its melodic guitar riffs. It the kind of music I was being explore upon during my school days. Especially the Hysteria album, many songs e.g. "Hysteria", "love bites" , "pour some sugar on me" are rock classic.

I loves this band for their brotherhood spirit. Rick Allen is the drummer, he is famous for overcoming the complete amputation of his left arm to continue playing with the band, which subsequently went on to its greatest popular success worldwide. During these time, the band are behind him thick n thin, refuse to replace him for commercial value... This is a good lesson in brotherhood, the true meaning of "brother in arms"..... How many times your friends or partner will stick with you especially when times are down? If they are, huge success belong at the end of the day for those who stick together.

Why worry

It’s 2am. I’m sitting in my home office, reading a book just brought an hours ago entitle “Persuasion”. My family is slept. In this quiet moment, reflecting the life journey that I had travel till now. Music has helped me get through very painful and difficult times. It’s offered me inspiration and courage when I needed it. It made my life more colorful, more remembrance.

“Why worry”, This song is part of me, part of my journey. Such a beautiful song. It the song that I need it most to “get over the hump” when your life is not quite right, or when your feeling is not quite joyful. Don't worry buddy! there will be laughter after pain.

Credit doesn't matter for authentic leader

It doesn’t matter what other people think of you, its only matter what you think of yourself. We waste so much energy worrying about the opinions of others, wanting to be liked. Authentic leadership and real personal mastery are all about rising above social approval to self-approval. So long as you are living by your values, being authentic, running your own race and pursuing your dreams, why worry what others else thinks or feels or says about you? Success isn’t a popularity contest, what matters most is whether you were true to yourself.

It’s so human to crave applause and recognition and acclaim. We all want to be appreciated by our peers and revered by the team. But leadership is about a lot more than trying to look good in the eyes of others. Leadership is not popularity contest too. “You can accomplish anything in life, provided that you do not mind who gets the credit”, say Harry Truman. Leave your ego at home when you go to work today and just do superb work.

You can never walk alone to greatness

Who is in your inner circle? Are you in a master mind group, people closest to you who are integral for success together. To be successful you need to be part of a team, no mankind can succeed and walk alone in this earth. In a team, some of them are faster than you, some of them are slower. As part of the team, we do these things:

Serve them. Let them lead and explore, assist them when it helps. Stretch them out of their comfort zone, but not out of their gift zone
Mentor them. Answer their questions, the best way to mentor is lead by action, motivate by result, inspire by word. Advise, direct and correct them when they are out of focus or alignment will make a difference.

Value them. Listen to their ideas, respect their positions, and never undermine their authority. When they can fly don’t block their way.

Reward them. Take good care of those who take good care of you. Winning with people. Nobody can have enough recognition

Think replacement. Learn this from chairman club, Nani Rancel. Always think of expanding your inner circle, never be contend with what you have now. Don’t wait for your team to explode so that your business will explode. Think Replacement, whatever you had now keep on duplicating. As the wise man say” your future is at the palm of your hand”

The finest wine

I recently toured the Gurdies Winery in Melbourne, and was amazed to learn that in winemaking the grapes are purposely stressed. Grapes are given not much water, they might raise them in sunshine, yet purposely keeping shades to a minimum. The stress is intentional, it keeps grapes right on the border between survival and almost dying because the grapes that survive the test make the finest wine.

Great metaphor: You grow the most when you’re on the border of chaos and order. The one that survive became the greatness and finest.

Just as the finest, most expensive wine comes from the grape that can stand the greatest stress. Just as the finest, successful partners occur to those who follow the system and grow in direct proportion to the stress that he sustain. Those that survive the border of chaos and order became the finest human being. They became the bedrock of the organization to serve the many, for those who serve the many lead to greatness.

In life’s journey, firm decisive and seizing the moment taste the happiness of success. Hesitation, procrastination will cause you to miss many opportunities, thus fill your life with regrets. Present society is not longer the “big fish eat small fish”, instead it the “ fast fish eat slow fish”. When the momentum is here, those who ride on that momentum will achieve success.

The moment is now, and it is beautiful. We are at the peak of the momentum, fast fish already grab the tickets, filled the big water bottle, swimming towards the ocean that leads to bangkok. So are you a fast fish or slow fish? How many tickets had you got? How many fast fish is going with you? 10? 40? 100? Remember, we still have fishes here, all fishes had dreams.

What is the different between a sponsor and a mentor?

Sponsor is someone who give you the opportunity, really cares about you, show you that there is a better lifestyle ahead. Sponsor help you getting started, a shoulder to lead on thru your journey, they lead from the front by example. They always say “ if I can do it, you can do it too”. They cross the bridge together with you from darkness to light, from skeptics to faith, from not believing to belief. They share with you their knowledge, helping you from not knowing to knowing. They are someone you love to hang around with.

Mentor is committed to groom you to be the best that you can be. He will challenge you, not let you off the hook. Mentor “walk the talk, talk the walk” as they process the knowledge, experience because they’ve been there before. They aren’t any extraordinary people, they are just like us who are always on production mode. Because mentor have concentrated their power in working n x 90days plan, they can coach you one or two distinctions that can immediately transform your performance, productivity in a matter of moments. They teach you new information, new skills, new lead generation, and show you how to get measurable results thru the gauge sheet. Sometime mentor doesn’t even teach you something new, but they remind you of what is your dream/goal and they PUSH and STRETCH you to do it until you get it. They are someone you respect and want to be associate with.

In life you need a GOOD sponsor and a STRONG mentor. Good sponsor can show you to “dance in the rain” and be happy when you are feeling down, however a STRONG mentor can push you to “storm out of the rain” to become a man or woman of great impact. In conclusion, sponsor GUIDE you to see a better future, while a mentor LEAD, NAVIGATE you to own a better life.

Ability. Motivation. Attitude

Ability is what you're capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it."

Ability – the knowledge, skill you know about business system flow - Your system level. How well you know the system flow? How well you conduct the scripts call? How tight you execute the progress? And the better you get, the better it will be for you. To the degree that you can perform your actions at higher and higher skill levels, the more and more success in your business.

Motivation – what is your main goals & dream that cause you to act "a reason to act." Your desire, internal drive that drive you to work day in day out. When your why is strong enough, you see yourself will keep going in the thick of the actions. Are you align to the events promotion , qualification , vacation that keep your motivation “lock on”?

Attitude - the mental state that you have to action to the best of your ability. It is how you “choose to” view things, either positively or negatively. Have the character driven to control your emotion, maintain a positive attitude about yourself, others, and the circumstances you find yourself in. Are you more of an optimist or a pessimist? What would happen if you took your attitude to the next level for the next 90 days?

You WILL NOT be successful if you only have one or two. You MUST have all three to be successful. Have a picture of a three legs stool chair.

What if you have high ability about the system, a good motivation but a rotten attitude? People will stay away and hinder your success. You might build this business initially, however retention will be low when people know your character flaw. Rotten attitude also mean becoming “unteachable” , “ big head” , not attending system class.

What if you have a good attitude and motivation but poor skills? People will like you, be around with you, but eventually you are not going to retain the team as people came to this for business, not for social gathering. You can’t get people “plug into the system” if you do not process the skills.

What if you have great skills and attitude but no motivation? Well, you'll be sitting on the couch, remain in your position status, while the go-getters are moving up the marketing level, bypass you to achieve their dreams.

People will judge you on what you accomplish, not what you know or what you talk about.

In fact, if you know a lot or talk a lot but do not accomplish anything, people will wonder what happened. So the question is whether or not you will take the actions necessary to deliver on your potential. To do so, you will need to focus in on the three legs of the stool of success: Your ability, your motivation, and your attitude.

Young Leaders

Year 2008 we had started to focus on North Malaysia. And wow! the upcoming leaders in North Malaysia are all Generation X : Young , aggressive, energy and power! Thought they may be young, but they are a mindset to build a business.

Nowaday it not that easy for young people to be a entreprenuer. "Working for a living or building for a fortune" leads us to a very different dimension at the end of our life. Remember when you are in your twenty, what are you doing? where will you going? have you ever think of what you want for your life when young?

While others spending their weekend shopping, they choose to train to be a millioniare. While others thinking of making a living , they choose to build a buisiness . Remember their faces, cause one day they will be the young millionaire in Malaysia.
